Marionette Carving Kit (Limited stock available)

This marionette carving kit is everything you need to carve and build a 1:4 scale, complete, wooden marionette using Geahk Burchill’s marionette-building system. The kit contains 95 parts, rough-cut, so that all you need to do is carve the parts, glue and assemble. No work shop or woodworking tools required!

Inside you’ll find:

• 22 basswood body pieces, precut to shape

• 1 practice block of basswood

• 30 birch and maple dowels cut to length

• 7 birch ply controller parts

• 10 hardware pieces; eyehole-screws, hanging wire, and magnets

• All the thread, stuffing, cord, and lycra needed

• 10 Hand-machined brass parts for wrists, ankles and controller screw

• A carving knife from Warren Cutlery

• 3 Drill bits in all the sizes you will need

• Titebond II wood glue

• A set of illustrated instructions

This kit is androgynous; you can carve a humanoid marionette puppet of any age or gender, though any added size will require additional basswood, it is fully possible to adapt the kit to any 1:4 scale bipedal character you wish.

The kit comes tightly packed in a 10 × 6.25 × 4 inch box
